Scott Laker, MD

There are few physicians who are more compassionate, or committed to the treatment of the obese patient than Dr. Laker. Dr. Laker applies his expertise in laparoscopic surgery and his strong understanding of obesity as a disease process to his patients every day, demonstrating the care and concern that has made his bedside manner well known throughout Michigan. Dr. Laker completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsisn and his medical degree at Boston University. Dr. Laker completed a surgical residency at New York University and a fellowship in Bariatric Surgery at Hackensack University Hospital in New Jersey, a world renowned center for the treatment of obesity. Perhaps the only thing that Dr. Laker is more committed to than his patients is his wife and 2 year old son.
